On 15/03/2019, IIT Kharagpur announced Job notification to hire candidates who completed B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech for the position of Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship.

Other Qualification Details:
1. Consolidated Compensation: Upto Rs. 28000 (depending upon qualification & experience)
2. Qualifications: JRF:
i) Undergraduate Degree (B.E., B. Tech or equivalent) in Metallurgical and Materials Engg./Mechanical Engineering, (Minimum CGPA 7.0 or Minimum percentage of marks 65%) with Postgraduate Degree (M.E., M. Tech or equivalent) in Metallurgical and Materials Engg.,/Mechanical Engineering (Minimum CGPA 7.5 or Minimum percentage of marks 70%) @ 25000/-pm Or
ii) Undergraduate Degree (B.E., B. Tech or equivalent) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with Minimum CGPA 8.0 (or Minimum percentage of marks 75%), with valid GATE/NET score. @25000/-pm SRF – Same as JRF with two years research experience. @ 28000/-pm
3. Project Title: Development of High Performance Materials for Various Defence Related Applications(HVA)
