• Experience in contract management, procurement, tendering, contract execution monitoring, claims management and compliance for major water, power or infrastructure projects.
• Experience handling EPC or consultancy contracts and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities and internal departments.

Desirable: Certification in FIDIC, arbitration or procurement management.

2. Chief Engineer L-I – Civil Design, Hydropower

Educational qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognised university. M.E. or M.Tech is desirable.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 14 years of total experience.
• At least two years in the prescribed E-5-level IDA pay scale or equivalent.
• Experience in hydropower and pumped-storage projects.
• Experience in planning and designing hydroelectric and pumped-storage projects covering major project components.
• Experience preparing pre-feasibility reports, detailed project reports, tender documents and detailed engineering designs.
• Exposure to project management consultancy and site supervision.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.

3. Chief Geologist L-I

Educational qualification:

• Graduation from a recognised university.
• Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 14 years of total experience.
• At least two years in the prescribed IDA pay scale or equivalent.
• Engineering geology experience involving hydropower and pumped-storage projects.
• Experience covering geological and geotechnical aspects of hydroelectric projects.
• Experience preparing geological sections of PFRs, DPRs, tender documents and detailed engineering reports.
• Experience in site investigations, core logging, geological mapping and rock-mass classification using RMR and Q-systems.
• Ability to identify geological risks and interpret borehole logs.
• Knowledge of relevant tools such as AutoCAD and DIPS.

4. Chief Engineer L-II – Hydro-Mechanical

Educational qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. M.E. or M.Tech is desirable.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 13 years of total experience.
• At least three years in the IDA pay scale of ₹29,100–₹54,500, revised to ₹70,000–₹2,00,000, or equivalent.
• Experience in hydropower and pumped-storage projects.
• Planning of hydro-mechanical equipment for hydropower, pumped-storage or water-resources projects.
• Preparation of technical specifications for gates and their operating equipment.
• Scrutiny of manufacturers’ design calculations and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of embedded parts, gate leaves, hoists, hoist-support structures and gantry cranes.

5. Chief Engineer L-II – Electro-Mechanical

Educational qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Electrical Engineering. M.E. or M.Tech is desirable.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 13 years of total experience.
• At least three years in the prescribed E-4-level IDA pay scale or equivalent.
• Experience in hydropower and pumped-storage projects.
• Planning and design of electro-mechanical systems for hydroelectric and pumped-storage projects.
• Preparation of electro-mechanical sections of PFRs, DPRs and tender documents.
• Experience in detailed design engineering, project management consultancy and site supervision.

6. Chief Engineer L-II – Civil Design, Water Resources

Educational qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Civil Engineering. M.E. or M.Tech is desirable.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 13 years of total experience.
• At least three years in the prescribed IDA pay scale or equivalent.
• Experience in water-resources planning and hydrology.
• Design experience involving irrigation structures, hydraulic structures and civil structures.

7. General Manager – Human Resources

Educational qualification: MBA specialising in Personnel Management from a recognised university.

Experience requirement:

• Minimum 15 years of total experience.
• At least two years in the IDA pay scale of ₹32,900–₹58,000, revised to ₹80,000–₹2,20,000, or equivalent.
• Experience in personnel management, recruitment, promotion, placement, development and manpower forecasting.
• Experience in industrial relations, public relations and policy-planning matters.

• Postgraduate degree, preferably in Social Sciences.
