Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER) is a premier RF & Microwave
R&D Laboratory under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. It has five Centres all over the country and undertakes state of the art design and
development projects in advanced/next generation technologies and also providing electromagnetic
compliances and consultancy services for the industry. SAMEER provides the right environment for budding engineering and science graduates to gain hands-on experience with latest technology, instrumentation and softwares. It gives opportunity to meet and interact with eminent scientists an academia which is a great starting point to further ones professional and academic goals.
SAMEER is looking for suitable persons at Mumbai / Navi Mumbai for its various projects on consolidated pay. These are contractual appointments and shall not confer any right for regularization / absorption or continuation of service in SAMEER. Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B.Tech) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E. or M.Tech) in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls, Microwaves or Masters in Electronics (M.Sc. Electronics) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (B.E. or B.Tech) or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E. or M.Tech) in Computer Science/Information Technology with minimum 55% marks
- Essential Qualification is same as given for SRS-EL(A) post. Additionally it is desirable that the candidate is having Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree OR first hand skills in Project Management and HRM related activities.
- Diploma in Electronics/Medical Electronics from a recognized Technical Board with minimum of 55% marks
- B.Sc. (Physics) from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks
- Candidates should have passed ITI (Electronics) from Govt. affiliated board of technical/vocational education and completed NCTVT with minimum of 55% marks.
Age Limit
- 35 years for Senior Research Scientist
- 30 years for Research Scientist
- 25 years for Project Assistants (A) and Project Technicians (A)
- 35 years for Project Technicians (B)
Duration of Contract
2-Years Contract OR duration of the project, whichever is less
Consolidated Pay/Remuneration
- Senior Research Scientist: Rs. 39,200/- per month(5 years or more experience)
- Research Scientist: Rs. 30,000/- per month
- Project Assistant (A): Rs. 17,000/- per month
- Project Technician (A): Rs. 15,100/- per month
- Project Technician (B): Rs. 19,100/- per month (3yrs or more experience)
How to Apply
- Applications for all POSTS will be accepted ONLINE only.
- All interested candidates must login to https://recruit.sameer.gov.in till midnight of the CLOSING DATE of the advertisement. Instructions along with deadline for filling the forms are available in the same link. Once candidates fill the online information, s/he can edit it as s/he wants. Finally, the candidate/applicant must CLICK “FINAL SUBMIT” on which a PDF file will be generated. Candidates are required to get a printout of the PDF file and bring it along with all the originals and one set of photo-copies of all the original documents when appearing for the written test and interview.
- Candidates will NOT be allowed to appear for the written test/interview without print-out of the online submitted form (PDF file) as indicated above.
- Result of screening test (Written examination) will be announced and only those candidates who qualify will be called for interviews on the same date or on date scheduled which will be announced accordingly.
- Candidates should possess the prescribed experience in the one or more of the relevant fields as mentioned under the column “Experience” with documentary proof.
- The experience gained in Research Scientist/or equivalent posts will only be counted as relevant experience for Senior Research Scientist. Crucial date for counting experience will be the closing date of applications. The relevant experience possessed before acquiring the essential qualifications will not be counted. Selection will be made purely on merit and mere work experience of SAMEER will be no ground for preference.
