CSIR-CMERI Walk-in-interview will be conducted at Durgapur, at the Mentioed address on 15th March 2023, to select candidates for engagement of Five (05) JRF-GATE (UR-03, OBC-01 & SC-01) fellows under ‘CSIR’s Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) GATE scheme for Indian nationals to work at CSIR-CMERI with modern infrastructure facilities on contemporary research projects and obtain Ph.D. degree under Integrated Dual.
Degree Ph.D. (IDDP) program in Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research(AcSIR).

CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, established in 1958, is the apex R&D institute for Mechanical Engineering and allied disciplines under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Autonomous Body under the Government of India.

Qualification
B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation / Computer Science /Mechatronics / Aeronautical / Agricultural Engineering or equivalent and allied area with valid GATE Score.
Stipend
The fellowship is tenable for five years, within which the candidate is required to complete the Ph.D degree. The fellowship is Rs.31,000/- p.m. for the first two years. In addition, an annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/-per-fellow will also be provided to the Institute.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the applicants shall be 28 years (as of the date of Walk-In-Interview), which is relaxable upto five years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women and Physically Handicapped applicants and three years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates as per rules. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and/or experience, etc., will be the date of Walk-In-Interview.
Important Instructions
The interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee with all their original certificates/mark sheets with an attested photocopy of each of it and a recent passport-size photograph along with the filled-in application form available in the Institute website, as per the date and time given below. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-In-Interview.
Candidates selected for the award of JRF-GATE will be eligible for fellowship subject to getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D. (IDDP) at AcSIR and approval of HRDG-CSIR.
