Last Updated on January 17, 2022 by Admin

The Diploma in Engineering and Technology or Diploma in Technical Education focuses on practical and skills-oriented training. It is a technical course that only covers the essentials when ranked with an undergraduate engineering degree. Here we are focusing more on the civil engineering diploma course.

It aims to provide students with industry or job-related engineering knowledge, scientific skills, computing and analysis, mathematical techniques, a sound understanding of English to communicate in the field, and the ability to apply problem-solving techniques.

An Overview of Civil Engineering Diploma Courses

Its duration is a minimum of 3 years. Many countries recognize it as equivalent to pre-engineering or bridging courses when considered for continuing studies in engineering-related bachelor’s or associate degree programs.

After successful completion of diploma in an engineering course, students can either continue further engineering studies at undergraduate level or get employment as junior engineers, sub engineers, associate engineers, technicians, technologists, supervisors, superintendents, foremen, machinists, workshop technicians, drafters, station technicians (energy, thermal, aeronautical), automobile technicians, maintenance and service technicians, equipment mechanics and technicians, CAD/CAM programmer, agricultural overseers, instrument technicians, junior instructors, manufacturing, tool and die, designers, electricians, etc.
