It is usually offered in polytechnic institutes recognized by the respective State Boards of Technical Education (e.g., Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE)) and recognized by the State Departments/Directorates of Technical Educations and All India Council for Technical Education.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission to Civil Engineering Diploma Course
To take admission for the various engineering diploma courses, the eligibility criteria are defined by the AICTE.
For the First Year of Post SSC
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National ;
(ii) Passed 10th Std./ SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks
Note: Other than Home State, Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only.
For NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.
(i) Passed 10th Std./ SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks
(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Rules.
Direct Second Year of Post SSC
For Home State Candidature Candidate.
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National ;
OR 10+2 Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subjects) OR 10+2 Science with Technical OR 10+2 with Vocational. (ii) I passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology. OR 10th + (2 years ITI) with appropriate Trade.
Note: Other than Home State, Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only.
