Wood is currently recruiting Engineer – Fire Protection for its process discipline. The position is based in its chennai office, India

- Comply with AmecFW’s / Clients / Regulatory procedures and implement specific fire protection code & regulations all projects assigned with
- Prepare Fire Protection and Fire & Gas detection System Philosophy / Specification, Fire Water Demand Calculations, Datasheets, Deluge/Foam system P&ID and calculations, etc.,
- Prepare Fire Equipment and F&G Layout
- Perform firewater ring-main hydraulic analysis
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines
Requirements
- B.Tech in Fire / Chemical / Mechanical (Preferred) / M.Tech – Fire Engineering (Desirable)
- Post qualification 2 – 10 years of relevant experience is essential
- Knowledge on Indian and international HSE standards like NFPA, OISD, IP, API, BS, etc., is essential
- Hands on experience in FATHOM / PIPENET is essential
- Membership in Professional Organisations (Desirable
