The Civil Engineering degree must be recognised by AICTE and awarded by a university or institution established under an Act of the Central or State Legislature, an Act of Parliament or Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Sections A and B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) may also be accepted where enrolment took place on or before 31 May 2013 and the qualification is treated as equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and recognised by AICTE.

Experience That Will Not Be Counted

Age Limit and Relaxations

  • Jammu and Kashmir domicile candidates: Five years

RITES Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Applicants who successfully submit their online applications will be provisionally permitted to participate in document scrutiny and eligibility verification. Candidates found eligible may subsequently be shortlisted for the interview.

The interview carries 100% weightage, distributed as follows:

  • Technical and professional proficiency: 65%
  • Personality, communication and competency: 35%

UR and EWS candidates must obtain at least 60% marks in the interview. SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwBD candidates applying against reserved vacancies must obtain at least 50% marks.

The interview can be attended in either Hindi or English. Final engagement will be subject to document verification, medical fitness, placement on the merit panel and approval of the candidate’s CV by the concerned client.

Nature and Period of Appointment

The appointment will initially be offered on a contract basis for one year. The contract may be extended until completion of the assignment, subject to satisfactory performance, project requirements and mutual consent.

The immediate requirement is for deployment at client project sites in Kerala. However, selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India according to organisational requirements.
