ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 has been announced for Graduate Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice, Diploma in Commercial Practice and Trade ITI Apprentice positions. ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network, commonly known as ISTRAC, is inviting applications for one-year apprenticeship training at its centres in Bengaluru, Lucknow and Sri Vijaya Puram.

According to Advertisement No. ISTRAC:01:2026 dated 22 June 2026, a total of 95 apprenticeship training positions are available. Eligible B.E./B.Tech graduates, engineering diploma holders, Diploma in Commercial Practice holders, B.Sc. candidates, MLISc candidates and ITI pass-outs can apply, depending on the notified post and discipline.

About ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network

ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network provides critical ground-segment support for ISRO’s launch vehicles, low-Earth-orbit satellites, interplanetary missions and navigation programmes. Its infrastructure includes spacecraft control centres, telemetry, tracking and command ground stations, deep-space communication systems and mission-support facilities.

The apprenticeship programme can provide recent engineering, science, commercial practice and ITI pass-outs with structured exposure inside one of India’s leading space-sector organisations.

Engineering Graduate Apprentice applicants must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in the concerned discipline from a recognised university. For Library Science positions, the required qualification is MLISc in Library and Information Science. Applicants for the B.Sc. ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should carefully review the following eligibility requirements:

  • Only candidates who passed the relevant qualifying examination during 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
  • The candidate must be able to join the apprenticeship within three years from the month and year of passing shown on the qualification certificate.
  • Only candidates who completed their qualifying examination as regular students are eligible.
  • Courses and qualifications must be recognised by an Indian university or the relevant State Board.
  • Only Indian nationals can apply.
  • Private degrees, sandwich courses, short-term courses and certificate courses are not accepted.
  • Candidates currently pursuing higher studies are not eligible. This includes B.E./B.Tech studies by diploma holders and M.E./M.Tech studies by engineering graduates.
  • Former apprentices and candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
  • Candidates having one year or more of employment experience in the government, public or private sector as of the date of joining are not eligible.
  • Combining this apprenticeship with training at another institution is not permitted.

The notification does not specify a separate age limit. Eligibility is primarily connected to the passing year, qualification, regular mode of study and previous apprenticeship or employment experience.

NATS Registration Requirement

Registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal is compulsory. Candidates must complete their registration and obtain a NATS Enrollment Number before sending the application email.

During NATS enrollment, candidates should upload the applicable degree, diploma or ITI certificate along with a valid government-issued identity document. The generated NATS Enrollment Number must be mentioned in the application email. Applications from candidates who have not registered on NATS may be rejected.

The NATS portal states that the apprenticeship scheme is free. Candidates should not make payments to unauthorised individuals claiming to provide registration or selection assistance.
