Job Description
Here are the roles and Responsibilities for GE Energy Recruitment 2019
Lead and perform design and analysis of wind turbine towers & foundation components within teh Renewable Engineering COE in Bangalore. Teh Design Engineer supports teh product through teh entire life cycle from conceptual design through design and development, testing, qualification, manufacturing and installed fleet support. They drive technical excellence and continuous improvement in teh design, cost, producibility and reliability of teh component(s) under their responsibility.
Responsibilities
Design tower components for wind turbines. Teh primary focus would be on RCC (reinforced concrete construction) towers & foundations.
- Responsible for Design, development and testing to prove component function and reliability
- Provide creative design solutions to meet aggressive timing, product cost and reliability targets
- Build and revise drawings, specifications and design practices applying GE and industry processes and standards
- Work cross functionally with quality teams, manufacturing engineers, sourcing, suppliers, field support and others to improve product quality and first time yield
- Support manufacturing, sourcing and field support with issue resolution and quick corrective actions for design related causes (NCR, SDR, PAC)
- Drive quick, complete technical root cause analysis of field failures and identify design related corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Support global supply chain activities for quality assurance and fulfillment across teh globe
- Identify and execute cost saving ideas and strategies
Requirements
Here are the Requirements for GE Energy Recruitment
Masters in Civil (Structural/Geotechnical) engineering
- 4+ years in civil construction industry, design experience of RCC structures (multistoryed buildings, bridges, foundations etc.)
- Expertise in CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX2/Autocad
- Proficiency in STAAD PRO/SAFE
- Exposure on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and associated tools such as Ansys classic/workbench
- Familiarity with Civil Engineering codes such as IS456, IS800, Eurocodes etc.
