Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Environmental/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with 3 years experience in conservation and pollution abatement of rivers and water bodies, including project management, design & implementation of sewerage systems, sewage treatment plants, and other pollution control & conservation measures.
Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/Public Health Engineering/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with 3 years experience in conservation and pollution abatement of rivers and water bodies, including project management, design & implementation of sewerage systems, sewage treatment plants, and other pollution control & conservation measures.
BE/B.Tech or equivalent Degree in Civil/ Environmental/ Chemical Engineering.
Master’s Degree in Environmental Science. OR Ph.D. in the relevant field of Environment/Ecology/Biodiversity

Age Limit
The upper age limit for the posts of Scientist ‘B’ and Scientist ‘C’ is 35 years.The Age limit is relaxable by five (05) years for Government Servants. For SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen, age limit is relaxable as per rules.
The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India and not the closing date prescribed for those from abroad and for those in the
Andman& Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, States in the North Eastern Region, Ladakh (UT) and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba, Lahaul&Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Job Requirement
• Formulation of plans and implementation of activities for prevention, control, and abatement of pollution, rejuvenation, and conservation of rivers/lakes/wetlands.
• Monitoring river water quality, environmental pollution, and research in these areas.
• Planning and execution of programs related to sewerage infrastructure, sewage treatment plants, recycle and reuse of wastewater, industrial pollution control, prevention of pollution from non-point
sources, information, education, communication, and public awareness on pollution abatement, etc.
