About UPMRC

UPMRC is responsible for implementation, operation, and maintenance of Metro Rail Projects in Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, and upcoming corridors. The corporation follows modern HR practices and offers a professional, technology-driven work environment.

Nature & Tenure of Appointment

  • Deputation:

    • Initial tenure of 3 years, extendable as per rules

  • Absorption:

    • As per UPMRC norms and eligibility

Pay Scale

Deputation Basis

  • Parent department pay + deputation allowance

Absorption Basis

  • ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 (IDA scale)

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Degree must be from a Government-recognized University/Institute
  • Background in Rolling Stock and/or Traction systems is required

Eligibility Criteria & Experience

Essential Experience

Candidates must have varied experience in:

  • Design / Manufacturing / Construction
  • Operation & Maintenance of Rolling Stock
  • Traction distribution on Railways / Metros
  • Working in a computerized environment

Experience & Pay Scale (Any one applicable)

CDA Pay Scale

  • SAG Level: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (Level-14)

  • OR Selection Grade: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 (Level-13)

  • OR Lower grades with minimum 17 years Group ‘A’ Gazetted service (including deputation)

IDA Pay Scale

  • ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 (Revised)

  • Or equivalent pre-revised scales with 17 years Group ‘A’ executive experience

Desirable Experience

  • Electrical & Mechanical services
  • Metro lifts & escalators
  • Electricity rules
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications related to the job

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 55 years
  • Age will be calculated as on the date of notification

Selection Process

  • Interview-based selection
  • Shortlisting at the discretion of UPMRC
  • Candidates must be free from Vigilance / D&AR cases
