Under the Skill India Mission of the Government of India, this Establishment is in the process of engaging Graduate Apprentices and Diploma/Technician Apprentices for one year of Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and amendments thereof in Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore (West Bengal), a Unit under Yantra India Ltd., (a  Govt. of India Enterprise, Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production) in following disciplines through Govt. of India NATS Portal.

Important Note: Candidates who have already undergone Graduate or Technician/Diploma Apprenticeship Training in the respective field are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

  • For Diploma Holders (Technical): 18 to 22 years as on the closing date of application.
  • For Graduate Apprentices: 21 to 25 years as on the closing date of application.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years
  • Persons with Physical Disabilities: 10 years

Essential Qualifications:

  1. A degree in engineering or technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
  2. Graduate examination of provisional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
  3. Sandwich course students undergoing training to hold a degree in engineering or technology as mentioned above.
  4. Diploma issued by institutes approved by AICTE.

Documents/Information Required for Application:

  1. University/Registration Number/Roll Number/Enrollment Number
  2. List of elective subjects studied during Degree in Engineering/Technology/Humanities, etc.
  3. Details of additional short-term/Certificate courses
  4. Provisional Degree Certificate/Consolidated Mark Sheet
  5. Government ID (Driving License, Voter Card, Passport, PAN Card) – Mandatory
  6. Aadhaar Card/Proof of registration for Aadhaar Card – Mandatory
  7. Valid personal email ID – Mandatory
  8. Mobile number for OTP – Mandatory
  9. Passport size photograph (Format: JPEG, Size: Less than 200 kb) – Mandatory
  10. Bank account details (optional during online application but mandatory at the time of contract creation after engagement as Apprentice)

Stipend:

  • For Graduates (Technical): ₹9000 per month
  • For Technician Apprentices/Diploma Holders: ₹8000 per month

No other allowances will be paid during the entire period of apprenticeship training.

Physical Fitness:

Candidates must satisfy the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time, certified by the Ordnance Factory Hospital, Ishapore.

Selection Process:

  1. Selection will be based on the Merit List and vacancy positions as published in the advertisement.
  2. Final Merit Lists will consider reservation breakdown and percentage of marks obtained in respective Graduate or Diploma Courses.
  3. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
  4. In case of tie in marks, older candidates will be preferred. If the age is the same, candidates who passed their Graduate or Diploma Examination earlier will be considered. If the years of passing are the same, candidates will be sorted alphabetically.
  5. Candidates enlisted in the provisional select list must pass Police Verification and medical examination for final selection.
