This recruitment drive is for critical roles across various design disciplines at the Engineering Design & Research Centre (EDRC), which plays a pivotal role in executing complex projects in the metallurgical industry.

Key Engineering Disciplines Being Hired:
1. Civil & Structural Design
Candidates must possess hands-on experience in the design of heavy industrial RCC and structural steel buildings. Familiarity with advanced structural analysis tools like ANSYS, Nastran, and STAAD.Pro will be advantageous. Understanding of codes such as IS, BS, AISC, or Eurocode is preferred.
2. Mechanical & Process Design
Professionals with experience in engineering design of blast furnaces, DRI units, sinter plants, rolling mills, pellet plants, and coke ovens are required. Capability to deliver 3D modeling, GA drawings, and technical documentation is essential.
3. Utilities & Piping Design
Proficiency in process design for utilities such as water, steam, compressed air, and effluent systems is needed. Skills in developing PFDs, P&IDs, and carrying out piping stress analysis using software such as Caesar II or similar tools are desired.
4. Equipment & Material Handling Design
Experience in design calculations for bulk material handling systems such as stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, conveyors, etc., is essential. Knowledge of component sizing and exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS or Nastran is an added asset.
5. Electrical & Instrumentation Design
The team seeks experts in power distribution design, load calculations, and short circuit analysis. Proficiency in developing loop diagrams and working with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems is expected.
6. Construction Method Planning Cell (CMPC)
Candidates with exposure to erection methodology, construction sequencing, RCC precast techniques, and geotechnical engineering for heavy industrial structures will be given preference.
