Assam Rifles has announced the Compassionate Ground Appointment Rally 2025 to offer employment opportunities to the eligible dependent family members of Assam Rifles personnel who have either lost their lives while in service, gone missing, or been retired/medically boarded out. The rally is being organized at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School in Nagaland. This is a golden opportunity for dependents to join one of India’s most respected paramilitary forces under compassionate grounds.
The last date for receipt of applications is 21st July 2025. Interested and eligible candidates must apply offline via email and report for the recruitment rally as per official instructions issued later.

Job Role: Conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of transport vehicles used by Assam Rifles. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on mechanical experience or technical certification.

Who Can Apply
The recruitment is strictly for dependent family members of Assam Rifles personnel who:
- Died while in service
- Went missing (with an FIR and investigation report after 2 years)
- Were medically boarded out
- Retired on medical grounds
Widows, sons, daughters, brothers, or sisters who were dependent on the deceased or retired personnel are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and age criteria as per the trade. Generally, matriculation is required, with additional technical qualifications or diplomas for skilled trades.
Applicants must also satisfy physical standards (height, chest, and weight), which vary by category and region. A Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted during the rally. Male candidates must complete a 5 km run within 24 minutes, and female candidates must complete a 1.6 km run within 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Ladakh region candidates are eligible for relaxed timings.
Selection Process
The recruitment will follow multiple stages including:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Written Test (for applicable trades)
- Computer-Based Trade (Skill) Test for technical trades
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Final Document Verification
Application Process
Candidates must submit a properly filled application form (Part A) along with required declarations and supporting documents (educational, service proof, relationship certificate, etc.). Applications must be sent to the designated email address mentioned in the official rally notification.
Only those who submit complete and valid applications will be allowed to attend the rally.
