MSETCL Recruitment 2025 invites applications from experienced, dynamic, talented, and professional candidates for the following posts.
Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO), a wholly owned corporate entity under the Maharashtra Government, was incorporated under the Company’s Act, in June, 2005 after
restructuring the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board to transmit electricity from its point of Generation to its point of Distribution. It owns and operates most of Maharashtra’s Electric Power Transmission System. MSETCL operates a transmission network of 51,518 (CKT KM) of Transmission Lines and 742 EHV Substations with 1,38,598 (MVA) Transformation Capacity. This infrastructure constitutes most of the inter regional as well as intra-regional electric power transmission system in the State.
Today, MSETCL is the largest State Transmission Utility in the country.

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering /Technology
Experience
- Total 15 years experience in Power Sector. Out of which at least 5 years in the area of Power Transmission in Selection Posts like Executive Engineer & above out of which 1 year in the position of Superintending Engineer.
- 3 years in the position of Superintending Engineer.
- In addition, Company/Hired vehicle, telephone reimbursement, etc. will be provided
for official use, as per Company’s rules. - The approximate Monthly Gross Emoluments (without Office Accommodation) for
the post of Chief Engineer (Transmission) shall be Rs. 2,92,789/-.
Age Limit
- The upper age limit for outsider candidate applying from Open category is 50 years.
- The upper age limit for outsider candidate applying from Reserved Category and EWS Candidate is 55 years.
- The upper age limit for departmental candidates (only MSETCL Employees) is 57 years.
- Date of birth as per SSC/School leaving certificate should be mentioned in the Application Form. The age will be considered as on 17.06.2025. i.e. last date of submission of the application.
Pay Scale
- The selected candidate will draw salary in the pay scale of Rs. 140655-5980-272215.
- In addition to basic pay, the selected candidate will be entitled to DA, HRA, Medical Benefits, CPF, Gratuity etc. as per Company’s rules. Candidates may also be provided office quarter as per Company’s rules, in lieu of HRA, if required by candidate and if available.

How to Apply
- Application must be submitted in the Proforma given at the end of this advertisement, in same order preferably typewritten on fullscape paper. All items of the application should be filled in properly. Any changes in prescribed proforma is not allowed.
- The envelope containing duly filled in and signed application, Demand Draft and copies of testimonials should be superscribed as “Application for the post of Chief Engineer (Transmission) against Advertisement No. 03/2025”
- Application duly filled in & signed, Original Demand Draft and attested copies of certificates in support of age, qualifications, Caste, Caste Validity (If available), Domicile, Post Qualification experience specifically showing date of joining and relieving, posts held, Salary Slips / proofs ( for deciding specific experience), etc. should be sent / submitted well in advance to “The Chief General Manager (HR), Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd, Prakashganga, E-Block, Plot No, C-19, 7th floor, HR Department, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (E), Mumbai-400051” to reach on or before 17.06.2025. The departmental
employees of the MSETCL, applying need not to submit the application through proper channel. - Candidates are advised to keep one set (photocopy) of all the documents (including copy of application form, DD) with them as a proof.
- Applications received after due date (for whatsoever reason) shall not be entertained. The Company is not responsible for postal delay or non receipt of application within stipulated time. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Incomplete application, application without signature & without Original Demand Draft and those not supported by attested copies of relevant certificates are liable to be summarily rejected. The duly self attested copies of certificates should be submitted along with Application form.
- The departmental candidates of MSETCL have to submit post wise experience
certificate of MSEB/MSETCL duly signed by the authority of MSETCL not below
the rank of Executive Engineer. - While applying for the post, if required, candidates may attach a separate sheet duly signed in the same format as given in the application form showing the detailed experience such as name of Organization, designation / post held, nature of work, etc. for various places of working indicating specific period therein.
- Any request for change of address and enclosing supporting documents later on will not be entertained.
