Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Degree must be from a Government-recognized University/Institute
- Background in Rolling Stock and/or Traction systems is required
Eligibility Criteria & Experience
Essential Experience
Candidates must have varied experience in:
- Design / Manufacturing / Construction
- Operation & Maintenance of Rolling Stock
- Traction distribution on Railways / Metros
- Working in a computerized environment
Experience & Pay Scale (Any one applicable)
CDA Pay Scale

SAG Level: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (Level-14)
-
OR Selection Grade: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 (Level-13)
-
OR Lower grades with minimum 17 years Group ‘A’ Gazetted service (including deputation)
IDA Pay Scale
-
₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 (Revised)

Or equivalent pre-revised scales with 17 years Group ‘A’ executive experience
Desirable Experience
- Electrical & Mechanical services
- Metro lifts & escalators
- Electricity rules
- Renewable energy systems
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications related to the job
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 55 years
- Age will be calculated as on the date of notification
Selection Process
- Interview-based selection
- Shortlisting at the discretion of UPMRC
- Candidates must be free from Vigilance / D&AR cases
