Job Description
BHGE seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead and perform design, manufacturing and sustaining mechanical functions for artificial lift system’s applications at the BHGE GEC centre in Pune. The successful candidate will develop and deliver functional mechanical and electro hydraulic parts/systems and sub-assemblies to operate in oilfield wells under extreme conditions, following development processes from specification to final qualification.
Responsibilities
- Conceptual design development utilizing advanced analytical tools including finite element analysis, as well as CAD. Contribute to requirements elaboration if required.
- Optimize design concepts to meet performance/reliability requirements and cost targets utilizing advanced simulation tools for functional as well as survivability evaluation.
- Develop test plans and supervise execution of engineering tests at a prototype system level or prototype component level. Write reports to summarize testing and communicate lessons learned.
- Complete documentation and change management processes for new product development.
- Design Exposure of Electro Hydraulic System
- P & ID Design
- Design for survivability in harsh operating environmental conditions including shock, vibration, high temperature, and high pressure.
- Ensure design meets system level requirements (interface configuration, etc.), and conforms to BHGE standards and quality.
- Engineering Calculations from basic principles and reporting
- Thermal Calculations and Power Generation Experience
- Exposure to Engineering Quality and Maintainability
- Exposure to Compliance Standards proficiency ISO
Required Skills
- Exposure to EPIMS
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Project Management Skills
- Ability to work autonomously within strategic and work to strict deadlines
- Experience in Metals and Metallurgy Experience
- Acoustic Design Experience
- Familiar with HAZOPs
- Presentation skills
- Skills in the use of Microsoft office packages, SAP, Team Center experience and identifying process improvements
- Ability to work in a team and use own initiative
- Capability to think strategically and manage change
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders including operations, sourcing, Product management and Project management organizations
- Experience of working in a matrix, multicultural environment
- Technical knowledge of wellbore intervention system products used in the oil and gas industry a plus.
