Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in real estate delivery (e.g., design, construction, operations).
- 3 years of experience applying sustainability best practices in India.
- Ability to travel approximately once a quarter and to be available for virtual meetings with other time zones (i.e., GMT-8 and GMT-7).
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in stakeholder/client management.
- Knowledge of and experience with sustainability standards, especially those that apply globally and to India specifically (e.g., IGBC, LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, etc.).
- India subject matter knowledge of sustainability topics such as health in the built environment, climate resilience, embodied carbon, ecology, etc.
About The Job
In this role, you will be responsible for developing sustainability strategies for our global Real Estate and Development teams. You will engage across our global real estate delivery teams to facilitate and deliver on our Google Sustainability commitments.
The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop regionally relevant sustainability priorities that align with Google’s long-term goals.
- Ensure that internal stakeholders are aware of, understand the value of, and comply with REWS Sustainability Standards, as well as overall best practices for sustainable design and operation of India sites.
- Develop, update, and improve resources to provide sustainability guidance for India sites (e.g., new construction, operation, deconstruction, etc.).
- Cultivate internal and external partnerships that support sustainability initiatives and programs, including vendor relationships and internal business partners (e.g., facility managers, development project managers, etc.).
- Stay abreast of local, regional and national sustainability programs, policies and regulations in India.
