KEC International is looking for the role of Interface Engineer (Railway) - Omkareshwar Railway Project for Khargone (Madhya Pradesh) location.
Purpose/Objective :
To ensure design accuracy and compliance by inspecting structural designs and coordinating approvals. Manage contract variations and preempt issues to prevent rework, enhancing cost and time efficiency through value engineering and departmental collaboration. Effective communication and alignment with design teams and the Project Management Consultant are key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of Role :
- Inspection of Alignment drawings and examination of design and drawings of Major, Minor Bridges, RUB's & RUB in lieu of LC's.
- Notifying Variation to contract to client on the work, which are addition to original scope of work.
- Value Engineering to reduce cost and time. Particularly interface between all other functional departments like OHE and S&T Design.
- Submittals and finding its infringement before the final submission and approvals to eliminate later stage rework.
- Synchronization with HO Design team and PMC for submission and approval of Design & Drawings.
- Approval for Alignment L-Sections, ESPs, Major Structures, RUB & MNB’s. Co-ordination with the OHE and S&T team. for submissions like, GPSD, LOP, CSD, SED, SIP, IBH systems layout, LC huts system layouts for approval from Client.
- Effectively communicated design department of all Civil, OHE and S&T Designer to achieve alignment and shared understanding with various stakeholders building.
- Advised project teams on design compliance to achieve safe, secure outcomes.
Qualifications: B. Tech Civil
Experience :
The ideal candidate should have 8 years of experience in roles related to railway project engineering. This includes a strong background in inspecting and approving structural designs, managing contract variations, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure efficient project execution. Experience in value engineering, effective communication with design teams and consultants, and providing expert advice on safety and regulatory compliance is essential.
