Linde Engineering India is inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Engineer to lead complex hydrogen and synthesis gas projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to clean energy innovation by developing optimized, cost-efficient process solutions.
Role Definition
The Senior Principal Engineer is responsible for understanding the customer’s technical requirements, developing process concepts and process design packages, and working in close cooperation with the Business Development & Sales teams to deliver competitive bids and ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: B. Tech / M. Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university

Experience: 8 to 12 years in Process Design and Engineering

Proficiency in Process Simulation tools such as UNISIM, Aspen, HYSYS, etc.

Strong background in Hydrogen, Synthesis Gas, Ammonia, and HyCO plant processes
Key Roles & Responsibilities
-
Conduct process simulations for hydrogen and synthesis gas plants based on inquiry documents

Optimize plant economics using life cycle cost (NPV) analysis

Prepare and review PFDs, Heat & Mass Balances, process data sheets, and equipment sizing
-
Actively participate in PFD, P&ID discussions, and HAZOP studies
-
Develop process deliverables for technical proposals, including utility consumption and process descriptions

Provide aftersales services such as plant visits, performance evaluations, revamps, and customer discussions for optimization

Support during plant start-ups and conduct process performance tests
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of process engineering experience, hands-on expertise with industry-standard simulation tools, and proven competence in hydrogen and synthesis gas technologies.
