Educational Qualification

    • Regular full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering, or
    • B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering
      from an institution or university duly approved/recognized by AICTE/UGC, or AMIE enrolled up to or before 31.05.2013 from the Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta.
  3. For appointment, the notification states that the candidate should have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. In the case of a technical qualification through diploma, the candidate should have passed Middle and Matriculation from a school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.

  • Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh, and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the state.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate must be between 18 and 45 years as on 01 January 2026.

The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disabilities categories who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh, and also for Himachal Pradesh Government employees and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh, as per government rules.

Mode of Selection

The selection process will be through a Computer Based Test (CBT) or written screening test of 120 marks with a duration of 1.5 hours, or by any other method decided by the Aayog.
