Emoluments (p.m)
- System Engineer – IÂ – Rs. 30,000/- + HRA

Maximum Age Limit*

Qualification
- For Mechanical Infrastructure Management: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering/equivalent.
- For Electrical Infrastructure Management: BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering/equivalent.
- Applicants should have secured a First Class as declared by the University.
Job Description
- The roles and responsibilities will be one of the following categories depending on the candidate’s
qualifications. - Electrical Infrastructure Management: Includes management of Electrical substations, DGs, UPSes,
power panel, etc. - Mechanical Infrastructure Management: including management of Chillers, AHUs, HVACs etc.
Personnel in System Engineer-I and II positions are required to provide the fundamental services in the above categories. Personnel in Senior System Engineer-I position will be required to provide both the fundamental services and overall management of services in the above categories. In addition, personnel in the Senior System Engineer-I position are expected to be involved in conducting periodic training lectures to attendees from our Institute and outside.
Duration
- Engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis, which would be initially for a period of one year, which will commence from the date of joining. The maximum duration of the position of System Engineer-I and System Engineer-II is 2 years, and for Senior System Engineer-I is 4 years. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining. For candidates previously employed at IISc through appointments made by the HR Department, the duration of their prior service will be counted in the maximum permissible tenure of five years.
- An increment up to a maximum of 10% annually may be admissible in case of an extension of the contract, based on the performance of the candidate and the recommendation of the Chair.
