Job Description
DIPV Australia is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with civil engineering projects. You will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing essential insights to support project planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing conditions and gather relevant information.
- Collaborate with construction managers, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gain insights into project goals and objectives.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating techniques to determine the cost of materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources required for project execution.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for civil engineering projects.
- Understand the project's criticality to the business, and in line with bid management milestones, own the project from inception to completion.
Qualification & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a similar field, with at least 5 years in Australian projects.
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator with a track record of successful project bids.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
