About the Job
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh invites applications from eligible candidates for the contractual positions of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical). The engagement will be for 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Employment Type: Contractual (11 months, extendable based on performance)
Honorarium: ₹30,000/- per month (Consolidated payment)

Educational Qualification
First-class Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering
or
Degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering
Essential Requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil) or Electrical Drawing
Minimum 4 years of experience in supervising civil/electrical projects
Age Limit
Maximum 30 years (Age relaxations as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
Roles and Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Management
- Oversee construction work and ensure compliance with approved drawings & specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, laborers, and other stakeholders for smooth execution
- Monitor quality control for materials and workmanship (as per CPWD standards)
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare cost estimates and conduct rate analysis (CPWD norms/market rates)
- Verify and certify contractor bills before payment
Design & Drafting
- Assist in preparing or reviewing design drawings (structural, architectural, electrical)
- Draft construction layouts using AutoCAD
- Ensure timely updates & modifications in project drawings
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in work scheduling to meet project timelines
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material supply
- Ensure availability of labor & machinery
Site Inspection & Testing
- Conduct site inspections to maintain safety, design, and quality standards
- Perform material testing for concrete, soil, steel, etc.
- Monitor compliance with structural safety regulations
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of construction activities, material consumption & test results
- Submit periodic progress reports to senior engineers or project managers
Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols, including PPE use and site regulations
- Ensure environmental compliance (waste management, dust control, noise regulations)
Maintenance & Repairs
- Oversee infrastructure maintenance and repair work to ensure quality execution
