Role Overview – Senior Electrical Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Worley, the candidate will independently lead and deliver HV, MV, and LV electrical engineering design scopes for large industrial projects, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and global clients.
Key Responsibilities
-
Independently lead HV, MV & LV electrical design for Oil & Gas, Refinery, LNG, and Petrochemical projects (Greenfield & Brownfield).

Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD & DSLD), metering & protection diagrams, design basis, specifications, datasheets, and electrical load lists.

Perform electrical calculations including equipment sizing, cable sizing, and lighting calculations.

Conduct power system studies using ETAP / SKM; experience with SPEL is preferred.

Develop layouts for power cable trays, earthing, lighting systems, substations, and switchyards.

Design hazardous area electrical systems and prepare hazardous area layouts.

Design AIS/GIS outdoor switchyards up to 66kV, 132kV, and 220kV (added advantage).

Support procurement through Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Queries (TQ), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and vendor document reviews.

Design special systems such as Electrical Heat Tracing, Lightning Protection Systems, EMS, PMS, SCADA, and Load Shedding Systems.

Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, ANSI/IEEE, and ANZ electrical standards.

Lead coordination with clients such as ADNOC, Qatar Energy, Qatargas, Saudi Aramco, Shell, Chevron, etc.

Review engineering deliverables, estimate work hours, and guide 3D modeling stages (30%, 60%, 90%).

Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance, Safety, Environment, and OH&S guidelines.

Liaise with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical challenges.

Eligibility & Experience
-
Experience: 12–15 years in Oil & Gas, Refinery, LNG, or Petrochemical projects.

Leadership: Prior experience as a Lead Engineer, managing teams of 7–10 engineers/designers.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:-

Power System Engineering
