About the Role
WSP is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join its Power & Energy Group on a secondment role in a client project office.
The selected candidate will contribute to landmark infrastructure projects, including:

Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) upgrades and new developments

Water and wastewater pumping stations
-
Wastewater Network Renewal
-
Reservoir Renewal and Improvements
This role offers the opportunity to apply electrical drafting expertise, collaborate across disciplines, and manage project documentation while being part of a global leader in sustainable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare engineering drawings from sketches, calculations, and specifications.

Support the electrical design team in developing project designs.

Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive design integration.

Manage project setup and documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Analyse client requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.

Apply quality control processes to maintain accuracy and standards.
About You
-
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher.
-
Strong drafting and detailing skills with proficiency in AutoCAD (12D experience a plus).

Consulting environment experience (highly regarded).
-
Skilled in interpreting engineering designs, producing layouts, schematics, and general arrangements.
-
Experience in transmission secondary design and water infrastructure.
-
MicroStation experience is an advantage.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
