Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) invites online applications from eligible and willing officers of Major Port Authorities for the post of Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer, to be filled by absorption through the composite method, as per the provisions detailed in the Recruitment Rules.

This is a senior-level position in the Mechanical Engineering department offering a significant opportunity to contribute to one of India’s major ports.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the Recruitment Rules enclosed in Annexure – I, the applicants must:

• Be officers of Major Port Authorities.

• Meet the prescribed qualifications, experience, and other conditions.

• Fulfill eligibility as of the crucial date 30.08.2025 (last date of online application submission).

Selection Process

As per MoPSW communication dated 29.12.2020, DPCs for Dy. HoD-level posts shall be conducted at the port level, and recommendations shall be forwarded to the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways for final approval before issuing appointment orders.

1. Recent passport-size photograph affixed on the application form

2. Attested copies of APARs/ACRs for the last 5 years

   • If unavailable, submit a “No Report Certificate” with previous year reports

3. Attested copies of:

   • Educational qualifications

   • Present and past work experience with proof

4. No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective Port

5. Undertaking not to withdraw the application if selected

6. Certificate from Head of Office (Annexure – II)

7. Vigilance/Administrative Clearance (Annexure – III)

8. Details of major/minor penalties imposed in the last 10 years (if any)
