Manager – Projects (Piling)

About the Role

Seeking a seasoned Project Manager (Piling) to lead end-to-end piling works for Transmission Line packages (220–765 kV). The role owns planning, execution, quality, safety, cost, and stakeholder coordination for multiple piling fronts and ensures timely, spec-compliant delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Control

  • Develop micro-schedules for piling fronts, resources, equipment, and logistics.

  • Track progress via daily/weekly MIS; drive catch-up plans for delays.

• Technical & Engineering

  • Review soil investigation reports and finalize pile type/length per design intent.

  • Interpret drawings, IFC revisions, and method statements; raise RFIs/TCNs as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., IS 2911, IS 456, IS 6403) and client specs.

• Execution Management

  • Mobilize rigs, tools, tremie, and concreting arrangements; ensure availability of bentonite/Polymer.

  • Supervise boring, cage fabrication/installation, concreting, and integrity testing.

  • Plan access/approaches to tower locations; coordinate permissions and ROW.

• Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Enforce ITPs, WMS, and checklists; maintain pour cards, cube logs, and DPRs.

  • Coordinate PIT/Low Strain, Static Load Tests, and other NDT as per contract.

• Commercials & Contracts

  • Monitor productivity, cost, and consumption; prevent idling and rework.

  • Verify measurements/MBs; support RA/final bills, BOQ reconciliations, and contractor billing.

• HSE & Compliance

  • Implement HIRA/JSA, toolbox talks, barricading, and lifting/working-at-height norms.

  • Ensure statutory compliance and audit readiness.

• Stakeholder Management

  • Interface with client/PMC, design, procurement, stores, survey, and subcontractors.

  • Lead weekly review meetings and action trackers to closure.

Must-Have Experience

• Strong, hands-on experience in piling for TL projects (220–765 kV) with proven delivery.

• Exposure to varied strata, groundwater conditions, and access-challenged locations.

• Proficiency with DPR/MIS, MBs, quality documentation, and client billing processes.

• Ability to manage multiple rigs/subcontractors and drive productivity safely.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with SI/Topography, layouting, and centerline transfers for tower foundations.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; basic understanding of STAAD/structural intent (reading only).

• Vendor management for concrete, steel, bentonite/polymer, and testing agencies.

• Local language fluency (Assamese/Bengali) for on-ground coordination.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech (Civil) from a recognized university.

• Total Experience: 9–15 years (minimum 6–8 years directly in piling; TL domain preferred).
