This position requires working in a team that is specialized to work on HVAC projects. Candidates will be provided the opportunity of joining our rapidly growing Engineering Support Team established with our New York-based Clients having over USD 250 Million worth of Contracts in and around New York City, Upstate New York, and Connecticut. Current Projects includes the World Trade Centre, Citigroup Head Quarters, United Nations Head Quarters City, The University of New York, and the State University of New York, New York City School Construction Authority among many others will be supporting the New York-based Project Management Team with all Engineering Functions, starting with Review of Contract Drawings, Bill of Materials, Making and Reviewing of Engineering Submittals, Shop Drawings, Resolution of Engineering Issues, RFI’s BIM Modelling, and Final Closeout Documents.
Essential Responsibilities
This Job specifically involves the following key roles and responsibilities.
- Must be familiar with Mechanical submittals preparation and their reviews.
- Familiar with HVAC systems for cooling and heating
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be familiar with the preparation of standard shop drawings for piping and HVAC services as per specs and contract drawings.
- Must be familiar with equipment selections and preparing schedules.
- Familiar with preparing BOM for Piping and major HVAC items.
- Duties as assigned by the Mechanical Engineering “HVAC” discipline lead.
- Uses time and resource efficiently and effectively.
- Creates and maintains effective working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, clients, visitors, and public-at-large.
- Should have a flawless accent in English.
- Fully conversant with the latest versions of AUTOCAD and REVIT.
- Aware of the document flow required at various stages of construction.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
