AECOM - EC India looking to hire Senior Engineer - Water Structures 7 to 12 years of experience as a structural design engineer, preferably with a focus on water and wastewater-related design projects.
Familiarity with various software packages, ideally including MIDAS, Autodesk Robot, STAAD Pro, ETABS, and SAFE, with a preference for experience in Finite Element Analysis.
Job Description
- Preparation of structural calculation reports, design calculations using Excel and other in-house software, and analysis of load transfer mechanisms.
- Excellent technical skills in the design for Concrete and steel structures.
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with the other disciplines.
- Leading a team of engineers and CAD technicians as per project requirements
- Able to provide technical support to the project team and managing the projects independently.
- Experience in complete life cycle of a design project within Water and Wastewater environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose alternative solutions for encountered issues.
- Familiarity with international codes, including Eurocodes, American codes, Australian standards, and British Code of practices.
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team spread across various geographical locations.

- Strong understanding of safety in design and related practices
- Performs and ensures quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible to adopt new challenging tasks as per business requirements.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status will be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers, UK).
- 7 to 12 years of experience as a structural design engineer, preferably with a focus on water and wastewater-related design projects.
