Position Overview: Construction Engineer – Consultant (Civil)
As a Construction Engineer, you will oversee and coordinate the site works executed by contractors, ensuring timely, safe, and quality project delivery. You will report to the Construction Manager and may act as the administrative site lead during their absence.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor overall job site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance

Supervise construction activities and administer contracts for contractors and subcontractors

Coordinate design deliverables to support smooth construction workflows

Act as the site point of contact for contractors in assigned zones

Conduct safety meetings, participate in incident investigations, and lead safety programs
-
Handle identification, reporting, and resolution of non-conformities and deficiencies
-
Support in construction cost control, billing certification, measurement, and invoice verification
-
Manage change orders, RFIs, and handle extra scope clarifications
-
Contribute to planning, scheduling, and progress reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)

Support constructability reviews and site-to-commissioning handover processes

Provide planning and progress inputs for project documentation and billing cycles

Ensure full compliance with the Project Quality and Safety Plans
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications:
-
Graduate/Postgraduate in Civil Engineering
-
Preferred: Postgraduate diploma/degree in Construction Management
Experience:
-
5–10 years of onsite experience in major infrastructure, power, steel, chemical, or real estate projects
-
Must have contributed to at least two large-scale projects of similar scope and size as delivered by TCE
