About the Role

Egis is seeking a Senior Land Use Planner to join its growing Land Development team in Ontario. This hybrid role involves working closely with private and public sector clients, managing projects, and overseeing development approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage consulting projects, overseeing budgets, teams, and project administration.
  • Provide planning input by reviewing municipal and provincial planning documents.
  • Engage with municipal agencies and stakeholders regarding development applications.
  • Conduct presentations before municipal Committees and Councils.
  • Manage development approvals for projects, including subdivisions, rezoning, site plans, and official plan amendments.
  • Prepare planning reports and rationales.
  • Support municipal clients by reviewing development submissions.
  • Foster client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in land use planning or a related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and full Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land use planning, preferably in the private sector and with municipal sector support.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (French is an asset).
  • Demonstrated business development skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven project management experience, including budget oversight and team leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered and insured vehicle.
